Controlling BB Audio via Remote Control
1. Principle
The BB Beeper (buzzer) is a component in the flight controller system used to provide audio feedback, commonly used for alarms, mode notifications, and aircraft search functionality. When the aircraft crashes or loses signal, the BB Beeper can be triggered via the RC transmitter to emit a "beep" sound, helping users quickly locate the aircraft. The flight controller binds the buzzer to a specific channel on the RC transmitter through MODES settings, allowing users to manually trigger the BB Beeper.
2. Equipment Preparation
1) Flight Controller: SpeedyBee F405 WING APP / SpeedyBee F405 WING MINI / CoreWing F405 WING V2 - any of these flight controllers are compatible with this tutorial.
2) Beeper (BB Beeper): Buzzer built into the expansion board.
3) RC Transmitter: Such as Radiomaster TX16S.
4) Receiver: SpeedyBee ELRS Nano 2.4G for example.
3. Specific Operations
1. Ground Station Settings
Open INAV Ground Station → Connect to the flight controller → Enter Modes → Find BEEPER, set the appropriate RC transmitter channel to activate the BB Beeper → Click Save.
2. Testing
1. Turn on the RC transmitter, connect the receiver to the flight controller, ensure the RC transmitter and receiver are successfully bound, and configure the receiver settings in the ground station.
2. Flip the assigned switch on the RC transmitter and check if the buzzer sounds normally.
3. If the buzzer is working properly, the flight controller will emit a "beep" sound, indicating successful setup completion.
