How to Configure SiYi FM30-FR Receiver Data Transmission
I. Principle
The SIYI FM30-FR receiver has telemetry functionality and can connect to the flight controller through the telemetry port, enabling wireless communication between the ArduPilot flight controller and ground control stations (Mission Planner, QGroundControl).
With proper telemetry port and parameter settings, functions such as remote tuning, real-time monitoring, and waypoint changes can be achieved.
II. Equipment Preparation
1) Flight Controller: SpeedyBee F405 WING APP / SpeedyBee F405 WING MINI / CoreWing F405 WING V2. Any of these flight controllers are compatible with this tutorial.
2) RC Transmitter: Using RadioMaster Boxer as an example.
3) Antenna: SIYI FM30 antenna.
4) Receiver: SIYI FM30-FR receiver.
5) Ground Control Station: Mission Planner GCS.
III. Specific Operations
1. Flight Controller and Telemetry Module Wiring
Correctly wire the receiver's telemetry module to the flight controller's UART4 (Serial4) port as follows:

2. Flight Controller Parameter Settings
- Enter Configuration/Tuning.
- Enter Full Parameter List.
- Search for
SERIAL4. - Set SERIAL4_BAUD to 57, and SERIAL4_PROTOCOL to 2.
- Click Write Parameters.

3. Connect to Ground Control Station
Mission Planner Connection:
1) Connect computer Bluetooth to FM30 antenna
- In Windows Bluetooth settings, search for FM30 and enter the default pairing password: 1234.

2) Open Mission Planner: - Select the standard serial port for the Bluetooth connection (e.g., COM21).
- Set the baud rate to 57600 and click "Connect".

- After successful loading, click Link Statistics to view connection data.

QGC Connection:
Important
Configure Mission Planner GCS first, and confirm successful connection to Mission Planner GCS before connecting with QGC.
- Click the QGC icon.
- Click Application Settings.

- Click Communication Connection.
- Click Add.
- Configure as shown in the diagram.
- Click Confirm.

- Select SIYI FM30.
- Click Connect.

- "Not Ready" displayed in the upper left corner indicates successful connection.
