How to Configure HD Video Transmission Parameters
1. Principle
The HD VTX system is an integral part of fixed-wing and multi-rotor FPV flight, capable of transmitting flight footage to FPV goggles or ground stations in a high-quality, low-latency manner.
HD VTX systems from different brands (such as DJI O3/Vista, RunCam Link, Walksnail Avatar) have different configurations in ArduPilot firmware, requiring correct serial port, protocol, and OSD settings to ensure normal operation.
2. Equipment Preparation
1) Flight Controller: Any of the CoreWing F405 WING V2/CoreWing F405 WING MINI V2 flight controllers applies to this tutorial.
2) HD VTX Module: DJI O4/O3, Caddx Vista, RunCam Link, Walksnail Avatar, HDzero
3) FPV Goggles: DJI Goggles 2, DJI V2, Avatar VRX, HDzero
4) Ground Station: Mission Planner ground station.
3. Specific Operations
3.1 Parameter Setting Example
- Connect the flight controller to the ground station.
- Refer to the following steps to modify parameters.

3.2 Specific Parameter Settings
- The following parameters apply to SpeedyBee F405 WING APP / SpeedyBee F405 WING MINI flight controllers:

- The following parameters apply to CoreWing F405 WING V2:

3.3 Result Verification
1. Connect the flight controller and power it on, open FPV goggles or the ground station, and check if OSD displays normally.
2. If OSD data is missing:
- Ensure
OSD_TYPEoption matches your VTX device. - Check if
SERIALX_PROTOCOLis set correctly to ensure the correct VTX communication protocol is used.
3. If OSD displays garbled text or is lost: - Try restarting the flight controller to ensure the MSP data stream is working properly.
