Connecting SpeedyBee F405 WING APP to QGC/MP Ground Station via WiFi
I. Principle
The SpeedyBee F405 WING APP flight controller supports WiFi connection mode, enabling wireless communication with QGroundControl (QGC) or Mission Planner (MP) ground stations via UDP protocol. Using WiFi connection allows for wireless parameter tuning and data transmission.
II. Device Preparation
1. Flight Controller Equipment
1) SpeedyBee F405 WING APP flight controller with ArduPilot firmware installed

2. Mobile Device
- Android device with the latest versions of mobile QGroundControl and MissionPlanner ground station software installed.
2) Computer device with Windows 10 or later, with the latest versions of desktop QGroundControl and MissionPlanner ground station software installed.
3. Power Supply
2-6S LiPo battery to power the flight controller.
III. Specific Operations
3.1 Mode Switching
Power the flight controller with a battery, press and hold the BOOT button for about 6 seconds until the wireless status indicator shows a slow white flash, indicating that the wireless board has entered WiFi mode.
3.2 WiFi Pairing
Turn on the WLAN function on your phone or computer, find the device name ——SpeedyBee F405Wing in the WiFi device list, and click to connect. No WiFi password is required.

3.3 Ground Station Software Settings
Mobile - QGroundControl:
After connecting to WiFi → open QGC ground station, which will automatically connect to UDP mode by default.
Mobile - MissionPlanner:
After connecting to WiFi → open MissionPlanner ground station → select UDP mode, click connect → enter port: 14550 → click OK.
Computer - QGroundControl:
After connecting to WiFi → open QGC ground station, which will automatically connect to UDP mode by default.
Computer - MissionPlanner:
After connecting to WiFi → open MissionPlanner ground station → select UDP mode, click connect → enter port: 14550 → click OK.

Q: The wireless board's power indicator on the SpeedyBee F405 WING APP is in a running horse light state and cannot connect to the ground station.
A: Enter MissionPlanner ground station to check if SERIAL6_PROTOCOL is Mavlink 2, and if SERIAL6_BAUD is 115200.
Q: Why can't my computer find the SpeedyBee F405Wing WiFi device?
A: Ensure that the flight controller's wireless board is in WiFi mode (wireless status indicator is white). If still not found, try restarting the Bluetooth and WiFi functions of the flight controller and computer.
Q: The ground station software reports that it cannot connect, what should I do?
A: Check if the phone/computer is connected to WiFi, and whether the mode (UDP mode) and baud rate (115200) settings in the ground station software are correct.
