Setting Channel Travel on EdgeTX
I. Principle
The EDGE TX remote control system supports user-defined channel travel to match the flight controller's input range. Correctly adjusting the minimum value (Min), maximum value (Max), and midpoint (PPM Center) ensures the flight controller properly receives signals from the RC transmitter, preventing unstable flight caused by travel errors.
II. Equipment Preparation
Hardware
1) Flight controller: SpeedyBee F405 WING APP / SpeedyBee F405 WING MINI / CoreWing F405 WING V2 (any of these flight controllers are applicable to this tutorial).
2) Receiver: Any ELRS receiver.
3) RC transmitter: Radiomaster TX16S / Radiomaster Boxer (ELRS version) as examples.
4) Computer: For ground control station configuration.
5) USB data cable: For connecting to the flight controller.
Software
INAV ground control station
III. Specific Operations
1. Receiver and Flight Controller Wiring
2. Binding Operation
For binding the ELRS receiver with the RC transmitter, refer to this article: https://docs.corewing.com/plane/inav/settings/rc/elrs-bind.html
3. Entering the Channel Travel Settings Page
As shown in the example:
The throttle channel minimum value is 1006. If we want to adjust the travel to below 1000;
The roll, pitch, and yaw midpoint values are not at 1500. If we want to adjust the midpoint values to 1500;
You can make adjustments through the following steps:
- Lightly press the MDL key to enter the model selection interface. Press the PAGE key to page through and find the OUTPUT page.

- Select the channel you want to set, press the confirm key, a pop-up window will appear and select Edit, then press confirm again.

- Adjust the minimum value (Min), maximum value (Max), and midpoint value.

- In the INAV ground control station Receiver interface, check if the travel values and midpoint values match the RC transmitter's output travel.

IV. Q&A
Q: After adjusting the RC transmitter's midpoint/travel, the values displayed on the INAV ground control station's RECEIVER page are fluctuating?
A: Generally, variations within ±5 do not significantly affect flight. If this occurs, it's likely an issue with the RC transmitter. It is recommended to recalibrate the RC transmitter or replace it with a higher-precision joystick or transmitter.
