How to Adjust Travel and Center on FLYSKY-I6
I. Principle
The FLYSKY-I6 transmitter achieves precise adjustment of stick maximum travel and center values through the End Point and Subtrim functions. Correctly setting the travel and center values ensures accurate response of the transmitter signal at the flight controller end, preventing channel deviation from affecting flight control.
II. Equipment Preparation
Hardware
- Flight controller: SpeedyBee F405 WING APP / SpeedyBee F405 WING MINI / CoreWing F405 WING V2 (any of these flight controllers are suitable for this tutorial)
- Receiver: FS-iA6B, FS-X6B
- Transmitter: FLYSKY-I6 transmitter
- Computer: Used for ground control station configuration
- USB data cable: Used to connect to the flight controller
Software
INAV ground control station
III. Specific Operations
1. Binding Operation
Important
For binding the FLYSKY-I6 transmitter with FS-IA6B receiver and related settings, refer to this article: https://docs.corewing.com/plane/inav/settings/rc/fs-i6b-bind.html
2. Adjusting Channel Travel
As shown in the example below: The throttle channel minimum value is 1006. If we want to adjust the travel to below 1000, we can follow these steps:
- Enter End Point settings:
Long press the OK key to enter the Settings page. Lightly press UP or DOWN keys to select Function Setup, then press OK key to enter. Select End Point to enter the travel settings page.

- Modify travel range:
Use the OK key to select the channel to adjust (e.g., throttle channel CH3). Observe the RECEIVER page in INAV Configurator to see the current throttle minimum value (e.g., 1006).

Use the UP key to increase the value (e.g., 110%), and observe if the throttle minimum value drops below 1000. After setting, press CANCEL to return.

- Similarly, travel values for other channels can also be adjusted using this method.
3. Adjusting Channel Center
As shown in the example below: The center values for roll, pitch, and yaw are not at 1500. If you want to adjust them to 1500, follow these steps:
- Enter Subtrim settings: In the Function Setup menu, select Subtrim.

- Fine-tune center values: Use the OK key to select the channel to adjust. Use UP or DOWN keys to adjust the center value. Observe the channel value in the RECEIVER page of INAV ground control station, adjust it to 1500.

IV. Q&A
Q: After adjusting the transmitter center/travel, the values displayed on the RECEIVER page of INAV ground control station are fluctuating?
A: Generally, changes within ±5 do not affect flight much. If this situation occurs, it's likely an issue with the transmitter. It is recommended to recalibrate the transmitter or replace with higher precision sticks or transmitter.
